Kensington Painters & Decorators

Interior painting

Walls, ceilings and woodwork, considered together. Interior decoration starts with the condition of the room and the way you use it.

Preparation before the finish

A fresh coat will not resolve loose paint, damaged plaster or staining. We discuss repairs and protection before choosing colours, with particular care around cornices, fireplaces and original joinery. The scope should distinguish local filling from more extensive plaster repairs.

Choosing the specification

Sample colours in the room, alongside flooring and fabrics, before committing to a full scheme. Agree the sheen separately for walls, ceilings and timber. In an occupied home, discuss a room-by-room sequence and where furniture can be moved.

Define the work in your quotation

The quotation should identify the surfaces, preparation, products, access and exclusions. Share photographs and the property address so that we can discuss the condition and arrange the next step.

  • Walls and ceilings listed separately
  • Doors, frames, skirting and other woodwork
  • Surface repairs and preparation allowances
  • Protection, access and room sequence
