Colour consultation

A useful colour scheme relates to the actual room: its light, proportions, furniture and adjoining spaces.

Preparation before the finish

Bring together flooring, fabric and joinery samples before narrowing the paint palette. Look at the room in daylight and under its normal lamps. A small card cannot show how an entire wall will read.

Choosing the specification

Use larger sample boards and move them between walls. Review wall colour alongside ceiling and woodwork finishes, including the effect of sheen. Keep a record of the selected manufacturer, colour and product so the specification is clear.

Define the work in your quotation

The quotation should identify the surfaces, preparation, products, access and exclusions. Share photographs and the property address so that we can discuss the condition and arrange the next step.

  • Rooms and connected spaces
  • Existing materials to retain
  • Sample requirements
  • A recorded colour and finish schedule
